This page describes some of the earlier amphibian modules prototypes. Please see the main page for a general description of the Amphibian project and for more recent Beta designs.
Alpha Module List:
~19Z3 Filter: voltage controlled filter with Z-plane all harmonic distortion after the Serge 1973 VCF and Rob Hordijk’s Twin Peak filter.
~Shilly Shally: voltage controlled slew after the Serge universal slope generator
~VCO-0: Oscillator adapted from Thomas Henry’s VCO-1
~Father/Son VCA: clean VCA and dirty swing type VCA
~Rungler: Shift registers after Rob Hordijk’s rungler
~Stumbler: 8 stage Bucket Brigade analog shift register.
~Gilberto: flexible gain elements capable of acting as dual VCAs, a 4 quadrant multiplier, a panning VCA, or a crossfading VCA. Named for Barrie Gilbert.
~Lout Actualizers: mixer and power supply board
~Fiber Boys (very early prototype): 6 current starved schmitt inverter oscillators and mixer board. This was the first circuit that I tested water patching with.
